The drawings are automatic; they represent what passes through the mind in the absence of revision or conscious control. André Breton describes this type of work as ‘a kind of psychic automatism, which corresponds very closely to a dream’.
First thing I do when I wake up is write down any recollections or details from the lives I was living in dreams. These details are later used as the storyboard for my drawings and paintings. I believe there are three types of dreams that I experience: foreshadowing events in this current human life, a world of another dimension with locations I repeatedly visit to resolve situations, and subconscious nonsense that is caused by my conscious awareness spilling over into my subconscious thoughts.
